Greek 6.5X54 MS Carcano
Have a 1917 model 1891 carcano rifle
has the ''E'' and the 3 heavy dots (Punches) on receiver.(Greek Modified)
gain twist....shoots 6.5x52 and 6.5x54 MS. Some were rechambered (Actually just lengthened a wee bit over 1mm.) in Germany. these are USUALLY marked on stock to indicate the use of ITALIAN (X52 ) or GERMAN (x54ms ) CARTRIDGES.
There are NOT the EATON'S DEPARTMENT STORE sporsterized models.with the re attached barrels.
my ''as new'' model41/fat1947 has a very tight chamber and ONLY takes the x52 carcano round . I have factory C.I.L. (canadain industries ltd) 6.5x54MS and some boxed NORMA 125gr. x54M.S.
How many other folks here shoot the GREEK or German converted CARCANOS ???

Just for the record your 41 doesn't have a tight chamber it just has the proper chamber
A greek M91 would be interesting, just not very common as most were sporterized (and there wasn't a ton to begin with).

Quite correct,EAGLELORD 17,
THE '41 FAT1947 was full of red cosmoline when I acquired it. was told it had not been fired since refit..(In same family since the 1950s). a VIRGIN chamber, so to speak, Unlike some old, well used and abused battle rifles, where the brass ''rattles around ''like a ''rat in a culvert''and comes out bulged and bent.

More Carcano Conversions...
The Austro-Hungarians in WW I converted M91 rifles and Carbines to use either 6,5MS or 6,5 Carcano. The Rifles were done by "AZF" ( Artillery Workshops in Vienna) and Marked
"It. u. Gr." ( Italien und Greichen). Austria had large quantities of 6,5 MS ammo ( 1914 Greek rifle contract, undelivered) from G.Roth...and continued making it during WW I.
So we have A-H WWI, IIId. R, WWII, Greek Post-WW II, and several Canadian Bubbatizers.

[QUOTE=DocAV;381885]The Austr
Doc AV from OZ (AV Indust.???)
Only one Canadian / COOEY in Ontario.. made for TIMOTHY EATON AND COMPANY. actually they are pretty nice little firearms....barrels are actually screwed onto the ''last couple inches of original barrel; (2'' or so threaded stub) the set screw is only an added feature..... some report the new barrel is just ''pushed on ''and the set screw is all that holds the barrel on.... NO SUCH THING !!!
CANADIAN INDUSTRIES LIMITED MONTREAL made the 6,5x54mm rounds.... some marked DOMINION 6.5X54 M.SCH. and the last made werte head stamped IMPERIAL 6.5X54MM.
(not to be confuised with the ^>%x%$ MAUSER round which they did NOT produce>>>>>> More than one CVANADIAN MOOSE joined his ancestors with haste thanks to these little round nose rounds......
And everyone outside of Canada thought we only shot moose with the .303 !!!!!!
