Pity me, bros
So, I get this sweet deal on a CMP service grade, from a local guy, it is beautiful, but my FFL is out of town. The thing is literally sitting at his house, right now.
I could be shooting it, but nooooo.
I truly with the ATF would hurry up and approve my C&R app.
I am looking for some sympathy.

Oh, and to make it even more painful, I could have done a FTF purchase, but...he lives in the People's Republic of Illinois, so...noooooo, I can't just get it.
He is an upstanding local lawyer, law abiding citizen, and I'm a local law abiding citizen, who live in the great state of Missouri, where we actually believe in the second amendment of the USA's Constitution.
But...there you go.

If the guy was local ,why didn't you just do a face to face sale?

As I said in the post that started this thread, the seller is in Illinois. I can not travel into Illinois to buy a gun, FTF, and he can not sell it to me, as a citizen, of Illinois, in Missouri.

Since When?
Cabelas doesn't have a problem selling them to me in MO and I live in IL. That law only applies to pistols

I believe long guns were added several years ago to the list

An Illinois resident can not do a FTF without a major hassle for the buyer.
Check your facts.
