    "AMCO" Barrel band/Bayonet mount

Lever safety (Lever switch on the right side)
"H" in shield on rear site
    "A.T." Left Bolt Lug
    "S W" Recoil plate
Non USGI custom walnut Stock an Hand Guard

Seller threw in additional goodies including:

10 magazines (Plugged 10 rd capacity)

    GolfBravoUSMC,

You got a great deal. The ammo is worth about $500 alone. Add those other items up and you paid less then $100 for the carbine. Quite the score.

From your pictures it looks like a rebuilt carbine that has been somewhat sporterized, IE the pad on the stock.

I live about 35 minutes from you. If you want to get together and take it apart, (I have the tools). Check part codes, (I have the books). Go over what is said about Winchester in "War Baby" just send me a PM and we can get together.

Front sight on backwards? You didn't get it on Cypress St in Walnut Creek did you? I saw an NPM there a couple years back and told him the sight was on backwards. He told me I was wrong. I just left.

I did a small edit on your post. I will PM you why.

    Jim

I could tell it was special just looking at it. It has a couple of tiny dings and a little insertion wear but otherwise in in great shape. I have no idea what it's worth. Do they have a mag size limit in Oregon?

From what I can see in the pictures, I'd say $100 plus - no limit on the mags here yet, but they're been working on it. - Bob

M1 Carbine Ugly Duckling becomes a all correct Swan

About a month ago I posted a picture of my first M1icon Carbine. I received some grief from many here and on other sites because of its Mixmaster parts list and in particular its custom stock.

    The Ugly Duckling

Working with a lot of fine people I have brought the weapon as far as I know up to all correct mid 1944 Winchester. Gun people are the greatest in the world. Thank you all.

    Nice job finding your parts.

Quit rubbing it in Bill. He lives about 30 minutes from me here in Kalifornia.
