    Carbine Build

It's been awhile since I posted but I've finally gathered all the parts for a build. There was a guy on here that did builds but I don't remember his name. Any help finding him would be appreciated. Thanks

Chalk 2, what do you mean by a build? If you have a barrelled receiver and all the rest of the parts you need to put it together. If your receiver and barrell are seperate then it gets a little more complicated. I, and many others here have done both. What we need to know is what you have and ware you want to go. Pictures of your parts will help.

    Regards.....Frank

The only 'build' to a carbine is installing the barrel to the receiver. Everything else is assembly. If you have a barrelled receiver that came from a U.S. Carbine, check the barrel indexing mark at the front of the receiver. Seeing that matching, and finding no cracks in the receiver or bends in the barrel, start throwing parts at it. If it needs refinishing, get that done before assembly. But as Frank said, show us what you have and we can make specific comments.

    Chalk 2,
Looking back thru your old posts,
I think you had asked about refinishing your metal.
