We made those types of springs during our apprenticeship. The longer variant, the hammer spring was difficult to temper and the instructor used to close it up in a vice overnight. If it returned to shape the next morning, you passed. If it snapped, you started again. If it remained flat, you started the tempering process again by annealing it, hardening it and tempering it.

Any good gunsmith or Armourer will be able to make you another from a pieve of spring steel

There are a lot of parts for sale on gunbroker. You might try the big british firearms site for help, britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com. There is a forum for british revolvers.

You might want to try posting in the Exchange of Parts and Bits of the Equipment Exchange of CanadianGunNutz (CGN). Someone there might have what you're looking for.
