    Pattern 14 .22 trainer question

A friend has one which has been bubbaed and had the receiver drilled and tapped for a scope. (aargh).
We were thinking of the possibility of trying to fit an internal clip inside the mag shell and turning it into a repeater. Anyone done this successfully? What would it involve outside alot of trial and error in terms of getting the internal mag positioned just right?

If its a P14 conversion done by AJ Parker, with some of the action cut away where the serial number was then its a none starter regarding a repeater.

Depending how much home improvements bubba has done, I would look at restoring this as they are a rare and collectable rifle. (looking for one myself)
