Auction watch
Looking like a pretty nice WRA. Not original, few replaced parts like Inland T2 barrel band, White T3 hammer.
5th picture down....... Look at the color line on the barrel across the stamped W.
Possible hiding T3 band marks?
Hand guard is a WRA.
Thoughts?

Shadow is very noticeable. Hard to see, but looks like a 5.8 SN. That would be late 44 or early 45. The round bolt started in the Spring of 44. And the angled slide also started in early 44. I don't see an "EW" on the safety. Because of the W, a lot of guys mistakenly put the White hammer into Winchesters.

This carbine was built less than 8K before mine
Mine dates to Mar 1944. The Serial # is a 562XXXX according to the description. The HG should be a two rivet, the stock should probably have WRA/GHD, flat bolt is OK. My guess is that it is corrected.

After buying a couple late Winchester buttplates advertised as Inland, at least I know the buttplate on this carbine is correct! - Bob
Jim, I can see the "EW" - it's there.

Bob,
I see an "EW" on the mag catch, but not the safety.
Could the gouge by the oiler slot have been cause trying to remove or install the oiler?
I think it's worth the current bid and more. But the reserve has not been reached yet.

Yep, I was looking at the mag catch. You could be right about that gouge in the stock. - Bob

The carbine looks good, almost too good.
Did anyone notice the sling? The one shown on the rifle is a repro while the one shown with the real oiler is authentic.
Jim

His description explains that both slings are included. - Bob
