    Winchester 1.2 mil

I bought a Winchester garand today and the SN# is 1276858. The drawing number is D28291-2 stamped on the front leg. The op rod is D35382 9 SA. The barrel is stamped on the side SA 1-52. It has lock bar sights. The bolt is D28287-19SA over 0-15. The rifle is in M1D configuration but I have not removed the hand guard to look for the 555 number. The stock is all matching walnut with an un-boxed AAAS on left side midway between receiver and trigger assembly. There is a P stamped under wrist, no circle or box. There are two plugged holes on left side where grenade launcher sights were located. There are no holes where a cheek rest might have been. The condition of the rifle is very good plus. I know that any non papered M1D is suspect.

Do you think it might have a Winchester stock?
