What Markings are on a PB Garand Stock???

Can someone help me out with what markings are on a PB stock? I have some tips on one and seem unsure whether they are correct or not.
    Thanks for your help! TerryR

Back some years ago I purchased Garandicon kits from AIM. Anyway there were a few with PB stocks.

These images are crappy due to the fact they were taken before I had a digital camera. I use a webcam thingy in those days to take images. Ah, the good old days...

Anyway, you can see the "PB" along with 4 digits of the rifles' serial number on the left cheek of the butt stock near the plate area. These are legit markings.

I will look to see if I have any others.

It is possible that the butt (under the plate) was stamped "SILE", the manufacturer of a lot of Italianicon Garand stocks. At this moment I am not sure if PB or only BMB and BMR had "sile" markings.

    Hey Terry
Here are some more markings on a butt and related stock parts. Note how the serial digits are reading in the opposite direction as in the stock images in my first post.

For a change something I have saved for years came in handy!

    Welcome.

Rick Bicon. would be able to share some info on this also. I cannot recall if "sile" made these for PB or not. If you see "sile" on the butt stamped in the wood (under butt plate surface) that is also correct.

Sile did make some stocks for Beretta. I have a few that are marked Sile for the BM 59 series Some were marked in the barrel channel and others were marked in the buttplate area.
