Japan apologizes to Bataan Death March survivors

    Yahoo news:

A grave with the charred remains of an American prisoner of war that was captured at Bataan and Corregidor and burned alive by Japaneseicon soldiers at Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippine Islands during World War II in March 1942. Japan's ambassador offered a personal apology to survivors of the notorious Bataan Death March in World War II as they met for the last time, a veterans support group said.

I hope like hell they aren't waiting for us to say we're sorry for
using Atomic weapons on them, it'll be sad day if we do.

Nowadays, our fearless leader "El Supremo Obama" is doing nothing but
apologizing to every country for what America has "done" to them, the
world in general and whatever else he can dream up. Can't wait to see
what he will do in his current trip to the Muslim world.

Maybe the apology for the atom bomb is next -- I would not be surprised
    at anything this guy does.

Sad that we have such an spineless idiot for President. I thought
Jimmy Carter was the worst I'd even seen -- but this guy has him beat.

Clinton already offered up the A-bomb apology to Nippon back when he was in office. Has anyone mentioned anything about Dresden yet?

    Apoligies

When is the U.S. going to apoligize to the American Indian for the atroscities we subjected them to from the time the white man sat foot on the Americas until tomorrow?

The American Indians? Yes we did them much wrong, over the years we were settling this country. But they were not any better in their treatment of whites. There were "atroscities" on both sides! One people taking land and settling where other peoples were first, has been going on for centuries and is still happening, on a small scale, some places. It is never fair, the majority always wins. Get over it!

Apolgise to the Indians? Those are no longer around, though I should think the government should apologise to the people today who have been screwed over and over by the mismanagement, incompetence and outright theft by the BIA and its political appointees.

Now there are still korean women who were forced into brothels by the jap army. I have yet to hear any apology to them.

And while I am at it, the STINKING bastard who was in charge of vivisection of prisoners and other medical experiments on them was never hanged but left to run one of japans largest pharmaceutical companies.

And a "personal apology" to the "survivors" by a minor official does not constitute an official apology by the government of Japanicon!

    Apologies

The past is the past. If we don't learn from it we will be doomed to repeat it. If we are going to apologize for everything how about apologizing for burning Atlanta, or Sherman's march to the sea, Or the war of Northern Agression as a whole? Part of this stemsfrom the victim mentality that is so prevalent in this great country today. Everbody needs to get over percieved wrongs of the past and move on. My family fought on both sides of the war between the states. I will not apologize for slavery or the seige of Vicksburg.GOD BLESS AMERICA!
