Greetings! I live in Virginia, USA. I'm a collector of firearms, especially those that have connections with important events in the history of a specific country or the world. Because of this interest, most of my collection are Mil. Surp. or police/government agency guns. I'm especially fond of firearms from the Americas, and am going through a Mauser phase at the moment ... but I tend to pick up anything that interests me and/or seems to be a good investment. My education, training, and background is quite varied, but includes History, Historic Preservation, History of Technology, and Public Policy. I like to use a given firearm, or set of related firearms, as a springboard to understand what was going on in that country at the time that the guns were designed, manufactured, contracted for purchase, used, etc. There's always plenty to learn.

New member.... I have a 1917 Remington Enfield, built in June of 1918. I took it into a gunsmith today to have him look it over. Can't wait to shoot it. I'm here to learn all I can about this rifle. I'd appreciate any guidance you all can give me.

Hi everyone
I came across this site while researching an Arisaka I found this weekend and I must say, I'm impressed. The wife and I go to alot of garage sales in the SW Wisconsin area and are always looking for vintage military surplus weapons. I'll post some pictures of some of my collection within the next few days.

Old Collector New to Forum
I have been collecting about 20 years with a few additions before. I started on the CRRFL board many year ago. I am really interested in the science, technology and history behind military firearms and have 31 countries represented in my collection. I am working on an issue of a M1 Carbine shooting very much to the right even after moving the rear sight all the way to the left. I will be searching for some answers in previous posts. Thanks
