A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hey all!

I'm a new member here, but I've "sniped" this forum on occasion for information.

I'm into a lot of different militaria and related stuff: Frenchicon Indochina, Britishicon Malaya, Aussie bushcraft, early Vietnam U.S., etc. My favorite rifles are the US M1896/1898 Kragicon, US M-1903 Springfield, and British WWI through post-WWII Enfields.

Was in the US Army for 10 years. Have most recently worked as a historian and archaeologist, carpenter, and farmer. I live in North Carolina.

    Thanks!

Not technically a new member here, but this is my first post. I have just been reading and lurking for years. Some of you may know me as a Mosin guy from other Forums, but I like about everything.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Not really a new member, have been reading enjoying the forums and Knowledge Libraryicon for a while.

I've recently started acquiring more milsurps- Krag-Jorgensen, Mosins, SKS, P38s, K98kicon and modelo 98s, and hoping to get a James River M1icon garand and maybe an M1 Carbine this year- so I guess you can say I've started a collection.

Looking forward to to more great information and maybe even contributing some!

Also on CGN under the same name.

    New member

    Hi Guys,

New member here, found something I think is an old military item at a garage sale and got interested in finding out more about it.

    [IMG][/IMG]

The inches per yards make me think this is gun related, is anyone able to tell me what this is and if it has any value?

    Thanks guys.
