Hello from Arizona
Hello, just discovered this site and it looks great. Been acquiring milsurps for the last few months. I currently have a Spanish Mauser, 91/30 Mosin-Nagant, and an M1903 Springfield. Will be searching for an M1 Garand, M1 Carbine and an 03-A3.

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Retired USMC MSgt, interested in US and EastBloc longuns circa 1930's to VN-era. Among others, now own several Nagants, SKS's, SA AKM, 1903-A3, M-1 Garand, NM M-14, and working on a repro VN-era XM-177E2. Cheers!

We can only teach and learn
I have only been collecting surplus rifles for 40+ years. I took the guns out of [one] of my gun safes the other day and took pictures of them to use online. I got a little tearful when I remembered back to what it involved to make these dreams come true. I could not have lived a better life. I realized that each one had its own story. I will post them as time allows.
Can there be a better hobby in life?

Howdy, fellow collectors
Happened upon this site while looking for some info on a venerable old 1903-A3 that I'm in the process of acquiring. Looks like good info here. Hope I can learn something and (possibly) contribute something as well.

TO: Everyone out there, Hello
FROM: ozark hillbilly
RE: Introduction
I am a new member as of tonight. Glad I found you. I am retired and busy at work collecting .22 caliber foreign military training rifles. As you might guess, I live in the
Ozark Mountains-----a very rural area of the Ozarks-----returned home after some
40 years of doing things "out yonder."
Am looking forward to hearing from you from time to time.
Sincerely, ozark hillbilly

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and was attracted because of the Canadian component. it seems values of military items vary between the US and Canada, particularly firearms. I am mainly a WW1 collector but still have many WW2 items. I am very much interested in finding a value for a K98 all matching numbers in original excellent condition byf 43 , nazi eagle markings, no cleaning rod. Later I hope to show my Snider Enfield and Martini Henry.
Cheers,
John (tudorw)
