An "Atomic" Navy Remington Rand M1911a1..

I acquired this .45 from the brother of the Navy Lt. that it was issued to. He wanted me to remove the name from the document, which I did. Another NAVY M1911A1... Note that they used the name "COLT" in the description. I don't believe that the pistol was ever in the holster. It is in new condition.

Crossroads was the first post war nuclear test at Bikini Atoll.

I got all the equipment listed except the ammo.....

Beautiful pistol & beautiful picture. You state that it's probably never been holstered, but has it even seen that many rounds? Do the majority pistols in your collection get fired or do you have distractions to keep you from firing these fine firearms?

Wellll, I have a 23 old girlfriend, and believe you me she is distracting, however that's another story.

I actually have a Colt Series 70 in Super .38 and a couple of S&W 1911s that I love to shoot. I never shoot firearms from my collection.

I hate to admit this, but my favorite is an old S&W K38 with target sights. I can shoot it better than any automatic.

As stated in another thread along time ago... I currently only own one 1911 & that's the one I've posted on this site. I've owned different 1911's in the past, but I believe this is the first collectable one I've ever owned. I will definitely have to shoot it, just to see it go bang. But I don't think I will be hurting the value of this one, as it is far from perfect. All the pics I have seen posted from your collection seem to be in new condition, not to mention, amazing pictures... I just wondered if temptation ever got the better of you? Obviously having a 23 girlfriend, it has!...LOL

Also, BTW, I have two Hi Powers that I lOVE to shoot. The HP grip fits my hand perfectly, and is a natural pointer. Here are my two babies. I fit both with wide triggers and extended safetys from Cylinder & Slide.. Also, the black one has Trijicon night sights
