My girlfriend was out in the front yard one evening(I wasn't there)and a coyote came tearing across and grabbed up the chirwahwa(sp). She yelled,"drop that dog"! And the coyote did just that.

Living in the woods, I have deer and turkey in the yard all the time, and the occasional black bear. We have coons that come up on the wrap-around porch and sit looking through the dining room french doors at my wife as she sits on the counch and knits.

Live where there is wildlife, and you will see all sorts of sights -- I've even seen a bald eagle perched in a tree overlooking my pasture.

Odd, I thought Kampf meant struggle, as in Mein Kampf.
I supplse it depends how it's used in a sentence.

At least ratte is quite descriptive. Why do they all look like somebody squeezed them too hard and made their eyeballs partialy pop out?

    John,
You got right it depends on the way you use it. Your description on this "dog" is very good.

    Regards

I remember the late comedian Jay Hickman describing a Chihuahua cradled by a large woman as a rat on acid defending his booby.
