Is this a Smith Corona stock?

Has a 1/2" proof P, and low-numbered inspectors stamps in front of triggerguard.....Also has no RA, and has a letter "E" stamped in the barrel channel beginning, about an inch in front of lug/front screw....Has a rounded band/spring cut (well, it's hard to tell, but it's not squared off..).

I just picked up this stock on the premise it's a Remington ...I have a mint 1903A3 I got from the CMPicon a few years ago in the 3,500,000 range..and thought this was the stock I needed...Was I wrong?

    Thanks for any input here..

    218,
I'd say SC also. I am looking for an SC stock as my SC came with a Remington stock. Possible trade? PM me if you do.

It's a SC stock. If you couldn't make out the other telltales, the yellow crayon would give it away.

    FWIW,

Ditto -- the "diamond 8" and the 1/2" "circle P" are other indicators.
