Angry Okay....Where did the topic go....again?

It's getting very frustrating attempting to follow topics when they keep disappearing from gun talk.
For years on CSPicon we could read and keep abreast on a variety of topics much of which were Not Gun Related. However it seems that much of which is now posted, although not pertaining to Politics gets moved to the Political forum or the waste bucket.
Maybe I'm wrong but Walter Cronkite was not a political candidate so where the heck did the topic on him disappear to???

I believe that I saw a heading regarding Cronkite which sai that it had been merged. This was probably done in order to stop from having too many of the same threads all over the place. Better to keep all the similar stuff together so it can all be read in conjunction.

But the again, it might be a plot?

I read on the moderator forum the Walter Croncike thread had been closed.

I just checked and it's still here on 'Gun talk' down the page some -
    Military Surplus Collectors Forums

The thread had been reported to the moderator forum and we voted unanimously the thread had degraded to the degree of disrespect it was inappropriate and unacceptable. We felt some of the comments being made did not reflect the respectful nature and conduct we have come to know and expect from our membership.

I agree that this thread should be closed.
Regardless of how one feels about a man who just passed, it is disgraceful to state his life meant nothing.

I agree the thread had degraded into a personality bashing and probably should have been locked down for reasons of respect. However the thread is indeed gone and the link provided is currently a dead end.

    Just FYI,
The 'Walter Cronkite' thread is now visible for all to see, but it's closed for further posting.

It had been closed to prevent further posting when I looked at it earlier, but it hadn't been saved yet so that it would show up on the public Gun Talk forum.
    - I could still see it because of moderator permissions

(And yes, both similar threads are merged within as Ken surmised, but not a 'plot' ;-)

Walter Cronkite is dead/merged - Military Surplus Collectors Forums

I really liked Cronkite too, umtll he said we lost the war. With that, he went to the other side, in my mind. I have more respect for the little people in VN than I do for the American radical left of that time.

As for the thread above, I didn't see anything wrong with it. It was cool and calm Joustericon material. But, someone has to make the desisions on this board.

Where are we heading? Pretty soon a requirement for posting will be to re sight Kum Ba Yah.
Just because a person passed doesn't give them an instant sainthood status. If a persons living actions was detrimental to the well being of country or our freedoms they deserve ridicule after death.
If were lucky some of the topics about Fonda, Schumer, Boxer, Pelosi, Kim Jong-il, and Castro's passing will be soon noted here.
