What do I really have here?

So is this a CLLE Mag, I think it is and still set up for MkVI ammo.

stamped "2" on the back and the front top lip.. Couldn't figure out why it would not hold MkVII ammo? Note the square top left edge... The dent is not as BIG as it looks in the photo.

Weren't really intended to hold ammo out of the rifle. Now if no joy whilst installed, usually a little tweaking of the feed lips gets everything running again. My earlier "chained" mag works OK w/ spitzer bullets. (They're easier to get!)

My no.2 mag holds both MkVI and MKVII without problems.

As jmoore said, they weren't designed to be carted about loaded off the rifle like an AR mag. If dropped or handled roughly some of the rounds will fall out.

Thanks, The lip on the right of your photo compared to mine is a bit larger than the one I have.

    Regards
