a high price for an A4 stock ?
Winner: T********H
Current Price: $1,311.01
AA Auction 9238553 (Ended 08/09/2009, 17:07:00 PST) High SN#...w/ real 03A4 Sniper C stock!...NICE GUN
nice rifle, but someone apparently REALLY needed a nice A4 stock..
NO RESERVE!! Here's a fairly late production Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903. This rifle would have been made in about 1919 and is what is known as a "high serial number" rifle, made with the properly heat treated receiver, and is safe to shoot (unlike the majority of the RIA 1903 production). This rifle appears to have been reworked at some point and now wears a 5-29 dated Springfield Armory barrel and has a WWII Remington bolt. What's great about this rifle is that it is fitted with an authentic WWII Remington 03A4 Sniper stock! This is the pistol grip "C" stock but has the relief cut for the turned down bolt of the sniper rifle. This is an original stock, not a faked job.
although this (other auction) wasn't a bad deal for someone: http://www.auctionarms.com/search/di...temnum=9261361

1300 - 450 (barreled high# RIA action and hardware) = 800-900 bucks.

A bare A4 stock with all the proper markings sold on eBay a couple of years ago for about $850.00.

iv done a couple, but, it takes more skill then you know.
you have to have a real stock to copy, and it took a few practice trys to get it right.
