Taurus 24/7 OSS DS Tactical - Trigger Problem

I bought this 9mm pistol a couple of months ago. The trigger is an abomination for my arthritic trigger finger. I would like to have the single action trigger pull reduced to 3.5 lbs. Is there some simple, inexpensive way this can be done or is this a major undertaking. I know this will void the warranty, but I would like to enjoy shooting this pistol. Any and all help would be appreciated.
