    CMP H@R. Sn. 5695xxx

Rifle has what I believe to be Orig. barrel, dated 10-55, bolt, op rod and a good lookin birch stock. Muzzle 1 1/2 throat 2. Rifle has a SA trigger group. H@R hammer and trigger,SA saftey. Windage knob is H@R but elevation knob is SA I think. Rifle was through Letterkenney in 6/65. Questions: Where is Letterkenney and did H@R ever use SA parts in their original production? Everything is same color and has not been refinished. Again; Thanks in advance for any infor.

    SA parts in HRA

some safetys inthe trigger groups, some barrels in 5.7s usually. There is ZERO verifiable evidence that ANY M1icon's ever left any factory with anything except WALNUT stocks.

That's close enough that they could have been in the same room at the factory at some point. My barrel is also 10-55 and gages very well--mw=1 and TE=2. Can't help with comparison of other parts, though, since I received mine from the CMPicon as a stripped barreled receiver. It's mostly correct now. I say "mostly" because we'll never know for sure. Maybe it needs an SA safety :^)

EDPM 3: Received mine from CMPicon as a complete rifle a few years back. I think I have heard or read that Letterkenny Depot used Birch stocks. However the configuration matches Duffs pictures of an H@R stock. AKA Hugh Uno above states that some SA parts were used. Did not realize however that no birch was used in original production. Live and learn. Thanks everyone for the input. Now to the range with my Greek Rtn.

Re: my last post. The h@R is not a Greek Rtn. Was shooting my 1903A3 which is a Greek rtn.
