Exclamation How to use "The Meeting and Events Forum"

The Meetings and Events Forum is designed to be an area for any MILSURPS.COM registered member, to post notices and feedback about upcoming events such as gun shows, competitions, training courses, auctions, or any other gathering related to the collecting and shooting of milsurps in general. It's also an area where members may post about events that have past and perhaps been overlooked, which may help members look for similar events in the future.

This forum is open for members to both post events and reply about them, so if you see commentary about any event that you either enjoyed (or didn't), then please don't hesitate to post replies to an existing event thread. In that way, other members will see a broader response from more people, as to their impressions about particular shows, courses, auctions etc.

The Meetings and Events Forum is tied directly to our on-line On-line Calendar (click here). When a new event is created in the calendar, an associated thread is automatically created here. Also, using the New Topic button that you see at the top of the forum, a new calendar event (single day event type only) may automatically be created directly in the on-line calendar, without having to actually go there. If you want to create a recurring or multi-day ranged event, than we'd recommend you go directly to the on-line calendar and create it there. Editing any calendar event, will also update its associated thread in this forum and vice-versa.

A summary of events is shown at the top of this forum, which displays the up and coming events scheduled for the next 45 days. The date and time shown in the thread and post title, is calculated on your personal current viewing time zone. In other words, times always show in the your own time zone, not forced to GMT.

Caution: Every attempt has been made to display reliable dates and timings for all events shown, however, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot guarantee or assume any responsibility for the on-going accuracy of the information presented. Therefore, we recommend that you check with show organizers or other sources, to ensure that the event shown will take place on the date and times displayed.

Please check the current listings and make sure any event you're familiar with is accurate as to dates and times. Go ahead and add NEW events that you think we may have missed, either through the forum, or using the on-line calendar directly. If you have some event you'd like to display, but aren't sure how to use the On-line Calendar, please contact me at badger@milsurps.com with the appropriate information and I'll set up the entry in our on-line calendar for you.

The moderators will police the forum as much as possible, to ensure that only appropriate events appear, as well as the interaction amongst members remains civil.

We hope you enjoy this addition to the Military Surplus Collectors Forums.

    Regards,
    Badger
