    Question about a stock

I just acquired an HRA Garandicon in the 5,721,xxx range with an HRA barrel dated 2-56. It's pretty much all HRA. However, I don't think the stock is HRA.

The stock has a "P" on it, but there is no circle around the P. There is no cartouche on the left side. There is an "A 4" on left side of the stock, a couple inches below the comb, right around where you would place your cheek.

Does anyone know what kind of stock this is?

    Thank you.

Sounds like it came from an Anniston rebuild. HRA stocks are available should you desire to get one.

    Dupage trading has them.

Go to Collectible firearms, military rifle stock, parts and militaria, M1 Garand stocks M1 rifle, 1903 Springfield. and you will see them under stocks. I have no relationship to them other than a past satisfied customer. Just happened to see them on their sales page last night, price struck me as pretty reasonable which is usually the case with them.

    Just an FYI for ya.
