Trafalgar, 4 T's and Enforcers (and Whitaker)

    Boxed 4T going for a cool £5,250!

Odd looking (handguard) Enforcer for £1350.

    Faux Enforcer for £900

And a Whitaker that I was tempted to have a look at!!

2 or 3 good stalls with Nr 4's

    John

Also a Valmet Finnishicon Lion - super accuracy - for a mere £175

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Forgive me, but was there something very special about this 4T???

Looks like the 44 BSA with Kershaw Mk3 I sold last month for only just over half that was a real bargain then!

The 4 T had dropped to only £4900 by Sunday lunch time; the Whitaker looked nice but at £375? I though it was topish, although it did have a low number 40? which actually doesn't mean a lot, given that I thought I was the only bloke in the world to collect that sort of thing!

I am aware of one other 4 T currently being offered (a mate of mine actually) for £4100, which probably means £4000, the one at the show I think may be the same source of an Enforcer I saw on Gunbroker for a heavyish figure a while back.

The guy selling the silly price 4 T was not the person's stand it was on ! There wasnt the room on his so he left it on the floor. Lucky he still had kit left in the case so many people pulled it all out to see why it was so much. I didnt work out why either.
I was hoping for more "spares" there, went with a large list, came home with a large list . . . but did find a PH 5E4 arm Yay !!! Anyone got an ENFORCER safety catch now???

The 4T that belongs to a friend of mine went on Sunday morning for the full £4100; it was sold on the range so the propective buyer was allowed to have a go with it first.
I was also told of an AW (L96) which went with every concievable accessory for £10k, this was sold from over the road in Fultons.

See you there next year Roger!!

Just as a matter of interest, an L96 isn't an AW. It was all to do with the intellectual propertty rights for the L96 that belong to the UKicon MoD. Similar yes. The same, NO

It seemed to me as though every other stand had a boxed No4T for sale. Even Fred had two in the NSC shop marquee.

Several had suspiciously clean paintwork. Now where did I put that Bren box?

I was aware of only one 100% genuine 4(T) and NO genuine Enforcers over the weekend at Bisley. Caveat Emptor when you buy sniper rifles....

Hmmm. I recently sold a BSA 44 with mis-matched Mk3 scope (no other accessories but the rifle, bracket, & scope were all correct), for less than 3000.
    Not outrageous by current standards.......
I normally only exhibit at 'The International' (National Motorcycle Museum) just outside Birmingham as I only have to fall out of bed to get there, but, although well attended, most of the punters collect knives, or air rifles, or deacts, or whatever. Only a small minority are looking for S1 firearms, & even fewer for Enfield snipers. Yes, perhaps it will be worth giving Bisley a shot (ouch!) next year.....
