Ithaca 1911 A1

I acquired a 1943 made Lend Lease gun. At one point I had found info as to some 39,000 Ithaca .45's having been sent over and the serial numbers. I've searched in vane trying to find that info again. Does anyone know the site or where I might find such info? Much obliged
