More eBay Fun - Let's have a fun quiz

Supposedly dog leg hammers. Note there are no machining marks, which adds up to castings.

There is another give away, which I will not post because they will correct it next time.

The best part is the claimed documentation. Can anybody guess what is wrong?

I had a lot of fun looking at this one. Hope you do too.

A humpers dream, at that. Take your hand stamps and make it whatever manufacturer you need. Documentation? doglegs were before FSNs?, packaging doesn't says carbine hammers anywhere, doglegs were replaced mid war, and long before we sold the carbines as aid? Am I warm?

    dogleg FSN (now NSNs)

I looked up FSN 10056737965 in the NSN catalog and it equated to:
    "Pistol, Caliber. 45, Automatic". Once a federal #, always a federal #.

You got it. There is about 6 or 7 things wrong with this sale, but the incorrect FSN is the best. If I were interested I would contact the seller and ask to see the entire form, which should show the designation.

I wonder if he would sell me a pistol for the advertised price.

I forgot to reply to imarangemaster:

You have about 80% correct in your answer. Now the seller can chose which ones are right and which are wrong :>)

When was the last time anyone saw new doglegs that were parkerized? I would say more but Bill is correct in not saying it to give aid and comfort to the humpers. Wonder what part of China these came from.

    dogleg hammers

I asked the seller (via ebay) if any of the hammers had any manufacturers codes stamped on them. His answer was "these are unstamped".

It would be nice if somebody asked to see the entire form.

I bet he will refuse the request.
