A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. His butt plate pictures show original ammunition boxes in the back ground, but no orginal package the butt plates came in. What does that say?

    Red face

I noticed the bandoleer boxes too. It is like he is staging a diorama or museum display, but trying to give credibility to the authenticity and his "overseas sources". He never said they came out of the boxes, though Hahahahaha!

    Hmmm... China is overseas!

Couldnt see the auction... what did I miss? I bought one of the hammers from that company as they live about an hours drive from me in Washington State. Was briefly allowed to visit the back room until the supervisor came back and politely asked me to leave the area. I am hesitant to take it back, there were some goodies I would like to buy from them. I did see a lot of Crated US surplus weapons and Lots of parts they recently imported. (from where? I dont know... Korea is my guess from some of the markings on the stocks), and a LARGE quantity of USGI carbine ammo still in crates. I inquired about purchasing 2 of the 1911a1's I seen. (Good to Exc) and a Carbine (Good to Exc) but was told that they will get back to me as they are pending sale to a wholesale dealer somewhere east. All had a light micro import mark. looked at 1 open crate of 12 M1a1 Carbines and a crate of fair looking M4 Bayonets with mix of M8 and M8a1 scabbards. I know they are importers but they do not have a public showroom. Anyone else got further info on these guys?

No information on them, but I have tons of information on what was made, when, and by who. Nothing they show makes any sense at all.

Again I will not go into the details, but on the hammers there are several characteristics of everything they show, that just do not fit.

There are exceptions, so an item that has an exception, can be legit. But when an item has many exceptions, there is one chance in millions that it is legit.

As of last night, the hammers were withdrawn from the auction.

If I recall right, I have seen that type VCI paper on tools at Harbor Freight! They come from...guess where!

Endless supply on NEW parts. Maybe Harbor Freight has a new "Humped Parts Division"!
