Going to collect an IP next

Ok guys, I have decided what my next carbine is going to be... I am going to get an IP even if I have to build it piece by piece.

I thought I would start with the butt plate.... There is one on GB and I am thinking about getting it. Do you guys think it is genuine???

I realize that it looks just like a Universal butt plate, but since I have never actually seen an IP plate in person, I know that I need to grab one when it comes up (even if it is freshly marked with an electric pen).

Really... I do need to take those pills the doctor gives me more often....

    Hey Ed
I have an even better idea. Just get a set of metal stamps and start updating your Universal parts!

I thought this was a serious post. I was going to wish you luck. I have six correct IP's and I spent more than a few bucks on them.

    Serious? Who me??????

And why would I, of all people, imply that a buttplate for a Universal carbine which has been electro-pen marked as an IP is not genuine..... Why, that would mean that I was accussing someone of something improper!

    No, not me!!!

After fighting with a cosmolineicon soaked rare stock all weekend long, I just had to get a kick out of that auction... strange that the camera was blurry, especially when all the pics for other auctions seem so sharp and crisp when showing off fresh tool marks.... I really need to stop sniffing turpentine and BLOicon.... I need some fresh air!

Thanks for sharig the laugh guys

Well, I still like my idea.....
We could go halves on the metal stamps and update both of our Universals.
"Up for auction are "Two near IP variants"". From what I've being seeing, we could probably unload both of them.........
And I'm really good at fuzzy pictures.

Tired-Retired: I have a real IP plate but its seen a lot of service and like so many butt plates is pretty beat. Depending on how picky you are with your furture hobby of building an IP, it might work.
