    Recoil Plates Source

I'm looking for plates for a like new Jovino stock. Anyone know a source. I have searched the net and checked the usual firms like Springfield Sporters and Gun-Parts.com. As a back up, I'll try to get some made. Brian was kind enough to mail me dimensions. Should they be copper or brass? Thanks,

Why not just patch in the old draws with a hardwood insert as per the photographic article published here about a year ago. The only reason Auistralia used inserts was because while the wood used was perfect in every other way (?), it was marginal to load taken down the grain. The inserts just spread the load but it's still a load, taken down the grain and eventually..............!

I suggest that if your fore-end is a hard (?) wood, then just patch it out

    That's just my halfpenny's worth
