Asked this on other sites but thought i woud ask here as well. I am trying to get some clarity on "correct" parts on a 4.2 million 1953 SA Garand. A few sources (namely Poyer and Babcock) state that these early post war SA M1icon's had "no dash" trigger housings, ie housings stamped 6528290 SA rather than the more common 6528290-SA. Is it generally agreed that the -SA housing came later, around 5.5 million? Second, Babcock claims that several 4.2 million M1's had late -19 bolts rather than 65 bolts. Is this correct? Help appreciated.
