    How to use SKS Sight

What is the rifle sighted in for when you use adjust the rear sight to the setting below 100 meters where the symbol is?

It actually raises the rear sight, and sets on top of the notch, making it higher than the 100 meter setting, so wouldn't this make it shoot high at 100m?

I figured the setting was for 50m maybe or am I thinking about this wrong?

It's actually the generic or "battle" sight setting- roughly 250-300m depending on the rifle. It is what you leave the sight set at unless you have need to fine tune on the battlefield. Aim at the center of mass(belt buckle) and pull the trigger. Repeat as required.
