A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Gun Parts Co.:
    Bolt, Bent, Complete, Blue

Listed under 03-A3 with a sort of funky looking sporter safety. They claim to be sold out of "original" A4 bolts - no doubt.

Frankly i only know of one person who is capable of making an authentic looking A4 bolt by hand. He described it as labor intensive and not really cost effective. Most A4 clones (at least the few dozen I have pictures of) use some sort of aftermarket low scope bolt as per the attached link. Real A4 bolts are fairly scare and tend to be expensive.

    Regards,

    Jim

I wonder if that Bolt will work without altering the Receiver ?

Anyone have Pics of an Actual Sniper Bolt ?
I'm looking for a bolt as well, or making one myself

Xroads - Like Jim said, most clones have whatever bent bolt. I've never seen a replica advertised. If someone mass-produced one, they could make some money.

I was lucky. The clone I bought had an original with it.

    Xroads,

    I'd check with chuckindenver -

You never know what he might have, and he's fair. He may even be able to modify your original bolt. (JMO)

PS - You'll also need to modify the relief in your stock for the bolt once it's bent, and Chuck knows how to do a great job cutting out the relief to look like an original.
