    E&L Rigid Brass Catcher

Has anyone tried the E&L rigid plastic brass catcher?

I was a little skeptical of it, but for less than $40 I bought one because I like to save the brass and to keep it from hitting other people at the range. Well, it arrived today and I am not impressed.

It is extremely awkward to install and remove, and it's easy to scratch the stock while doing so. I doesn't look like there is enough room for the brass to eject, but it still blocks my sights (when they are set for 100 yards). There is also no way to access the bolt handle while it's installed. There is a hole in the top for the clip to eject after the last round is fired, but the catcher has to be removed to install a loaded clip.

If this thing was easier to remove and install, and didn't block the sights I'd give it a shot, but I'm not even going to try.

Waste of money in my opinion. I bought one of these for my Romanian AK clone and regretted it for the same reasons you stated about.
