Enfield Sniper Rifle Parts

I recently acquired an Enfield Rifle. It has a manufacture year of 1948 and is in fairly good shape. I was trying to find some information about the correct scope mount, scope, and cheek piece to make a "clone" of the sniper/target variant of this rifle. The rear sight has been removed and replaced with some type of aftermarket mount with a Simmons scope. The rifle shoots pretty good. It holds around 3/4" @ 100 yards. It is a 303 and from what I can tell in my limited experience with these rifles has the original barrel. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do a "target" version- it's rather simpler to do and nobody will call it "fake" or "wrong".

I think your better off keeping your commercial scope and mount. The cost of building a clone is better spent on buying an original.

Old Gunner, if your handle is accurate, I feel your pain. Those sights seem to swim in fog these days. Eye glasses help but they just can't match a scope. S&K makes a decent instamount that doesn't require any drilling and tapping and won't devalue your rifle. Of course, if its already been "sporterised" just go for it with any decent commercial mount available.

The Weaver K2.5 and the Lyman Alaskan both look good on the LE. The S&K mount is a good one and no mods to the rifle are needed.
