Added Inland with Suprises Today

Made another trade of a Pistol today to add another Inland to my collection. I traded a H & K P-7 9mm for an Inland plus $200.00 from the buyer. I consulted with Paul Imbragulio while I was picking this up today midway between Houston and San Antonio. It had a few surprises. The High Wood Stock is Outstanding and Paul said this particular stock had a very small window of Manufacter in early 43, I believe he said. Stock has a SG vertically and a feint Cartouche Cross cannons with IP in the slingwell. I know you guys like pictures so here are the parts that I found in it.

Rusty, I don't know what I like about you better - your friends or your carbines!

I do not know the condition of that H&K or what you had in it, but carbine is a great piece. Is that a type II mag catch? Looks thick enough in the picture.

I assume that is going to go in the "collector" side and not the "shooter" side of the safe? I wish I could afford something that nice. Some guys get all the fun play toy!

Rusty YOU SCORED! Hi-wood oval cut IR-IP with S'G' cartouche and wheel. Plus fat boy dogleg hammer with IP-W safety. I'd say you made out like a bandit. Probably one of the best finds I have seen in a while.

Serial number range is 505xxxx, It has a Winchester Barrel that is probably < 2.0. Didnt even notice stock until right at the last of inspection while making the deal. I got too tied up looking at the Metal, and when I realized it was a High Wood, I collected gun and my Grandson and I headed back to Houston with smiles. Here is what I traded for it, a nice Handgun, but thanks to my Dad I'm overflowing with Handguns, and not overflowing with Carbines, but I'm off to a good start. My Hot Rods are hard to crawl under any more, I can sit at the Kitchen table and fiddle with Carbines, and its been a lot of fun. Some people collect Stamps, some collect Coins, and some collect Watches like PBI. LOL

Looks to be sanded fairly heavy, but sure is a nice looking piece of walnut.
