    Mike,
Are many found with the M2 slides?
    Like the 2 top ones.
I've seen you with your share of early carbines also.
Parts hard to find over there?
    And expensive?

Mikey, you have left us with ONE nice picture, no explanation and lots of questions....

How about a full 10 page layout (with centerfold) of each one of those babe's. Nothing like getting pics of stripped down carbines!

(and I hate to ask what the "do the right thing" is....)

Well guys, the short story is ... sometimes I have purchased an M1icon on the internet, because of the makers name and the serial number, knowing at the time, it was not "as it left the factory". When I get it home and have a look, I find that it has been an M2 and that someone has removed some parts to make sure it cannot operate as such ! Not a bad idea ! Only about 1% of legal firearm owners here would be allowed to own an M2 ( I can as I have what we call a "collectors Licence" ) so, doing "the right thing" means liasing with the Police, being honest with them about what you have, and where you found it. This system seems to work. I'll tell you the long story later. Cheers. Mike.

Here's two examples. Lever cut off. I think the W.I stamp might be correct. Mike.
