    Boltless Rackers at the CMP

I sent off for one mail order, luck of the draw, no choice in manufacturer. These are rackers with no refund no return. Anyone else in?

I am not a gambler, just never had much luck with that. I usually drive there, and pick my own, I like it better that way. It gives me a reason to take my wife away for a weekend road trip.
That way she's happy and I get to spend more.

I think I'll get one regardless. I have a spare bolt and the price is right.

Do one of you have a link to the sale? I can't seem to find it and if it was in an email update I just changed my email this last week.

M1icon Carbine - NO BOLT- DELIVERY TIME 30-60 days

    ITEM # DESCRIPTION PRICE AVAILABILITY
R017NOBOLT M1 Carbine, Rack Grade, no bolt. $325 Accepting orders

M1 Carbine, rack grade, no bolt. These are not sorted by manufacturer and selection of manufacturer is luck of the draw. These carbines are what remains from the last few years of carbine inspection and repair. We do not have any reason to believe we will receive any additional carbines. NO REFUNDS AND NO EXCHANGES.

It is the next listing under Rack Grade.

Ah, refreshed the page and the S'G' carbine disappeared and the no bolt appeared. Thanks

I've had, I think, really good luck with CMPicon's "Luck of the Draw". The element of chance, like a good auction, makes the purchase exciting, completely unlike having a pair of slippers from the Sears Roebuck catalog delivered to your door by UPS. And Life should be exciting else why live it?

Functionally, I think you will be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere, even sans bolt. I picked up a "new" post-war Underwood bolt earlier this Spring for $75. Guess what that's for?

The only times I've been able to do as well have been FTF deals off GB where I've found a lot of "free stuff" is available to pad the purchase. You won't get "collector" parts, but parts is parts.

    I'm in.

Even though the CMPicon is running out of carbines, I'm passing on this offering. I'm afraid the condition of the carbine will match the condition of my wallet.

I'll just have to be content with the seven I bought last year/early this year.

    For now.
