    Bogus parts

All the threads on is this real or not. A good repo, etc.

Someone needs to put together a carbine out of only bogus parts.

Charlie, I think you are right... the only thing missing on some is a receiver marked "Narinco".... oh, and a stamp on the underside "made in China"...

    New sub-forum?????

Maybe our forum-master might what to consider creating a new sub-forum entitled "real or repro?", or something like that.
It could be setup like the "For Sale" forum and broken out into sub-categories for the Carbine, Garandicon, Scopes/mounts, Accessories, etc.

kr, I only wish that all the carbine buyers out there visited this site and read up on ol' George before they dropped the dough on the stuff he sells. The funny thing about it, George has real/original parts and some good ones als but good luck getting them. I think he uses them as templates for the fakes.

I saw him in San Francisco at the Cow palace a few years ago. He does have real stuff, but way over priced.

I was walking past his table and saw he had some pawls, maybe 8 or so, new in the wrap. But when I asked about them, he wanted $25 each. I thought that was way over priced. Another table had complete bolt tools for $35.

Now I wouldn't buy from him, just on principle.
