Did you open your two pack of Weber mfg. bolt tools? Any comparison between USGI and current made tools.

    Hi Scott,
    Were they Weber ? LOL............
I can't believe you remembered I bought the 2 still in the wrap.
I've noticed some slight differences between the GI and commercial.
Will put some pics together later tonight.
Still have the original package these 2 came in. 1 bolt tool is still wrapped up in there.

Still surprised you remember I have these.
Bought them from my little buddy Eddy Yuja.

    Pics later,
    Charlie

P.S. Remember the 'In the Wrap' RMC triggers I bought that came out Un-marked?

    How were they marked?

I found two packages of two bolt tools each. They were repacked as seen below.

Here's the picture of the unopened bag. Date reads Nov 1950.... Best I can tell the last number of the date is 0.
Following pictures will always show the USGI Weber Machine Corp Bolt Tool on the LEFT.

ONE OF THE TWO STILL IN THE ORIGINAL WRAP..

    FULL TOP SIDE VIEW...

INSIDE BOTTOM SHOWING SMALLER DETENT ON GI THAN COMMERCIAL..

OUTSIDE BOTTOM VIEW OF DETENT......... ALSO SHOWS KNOTCH ON THE RING THAT THE SCREW THREADS IN, YOU CAN SEE SIGNS OF SILVER SOLDER

HERE YOU CAN SEE THE GI ONE HAS A POINTED END ON THE SCREW...

THIS SHOWS THE TOP END IS A SEPERATE PART. IT SHOWS SIGNS OF ALSO BEING SILVER SOLDERED IN PLACE... THE SCREW HAS 2 STAKE PUNCHES ON EITHER SIDE....

LASTLY, THE OVERHANGING LOOP PAST THE RETAINING NUT WHICH HOLDS THE SEPERATE TOP PIECE IN PLACE. SILVER SOLDER IS VISABLE ON THE EDGE..........

In hand both seem to weigh the same. GI has what looks to be a parked finish.
Checkering on screw knob runs in a diagonal pattern on GI, with courser and fewer rows than the commercial one.

    Was this any help?
Or did I miss what your looking for?
I have an excuse, Dinner is ready !

    Cheers,
    Charlie-painter777

P.S. I ended up buying more of those in the wrap RMC triggers than I needed. Plus sure enough the last 2 carbines I've bought had ......... YEP... RMC triggers. It Figures.

Thanks for taking the time to do the pics, great pics too. I still have three triggers, one opened and the other two not.
