    NPM racker

I received my new carbine yesterday NPM racker SN 4196621, not bad for a rack grade, actually has a small cross cannon on the right side of the stock but what looks like a big J in the sling well. More with pictures later

The J in the sling well is a standard M1icon replacement stock made by Jewell Brothers.

There is no connection between the Jewell Brothers replacement stocks and T3s.

You do know they made replacement parts to service the guns sent to the field?

Yes, I thhink I heard they furnished replacement parts , seems like I heard that somewhere. I evidently dont have enough carbine knowledge to hang here .

That's why you hang here....to gain the knowledge. For instance, Jewell Bros stocks can have that small crossed cannon marking on the right side as your's does, or it can be in the sling bevel on the left side. The crossed cannons are unlike those of any of the prime contractors because it was accepted as a spare part, not as a part for a specific contractor. The more you learn, the more questions you will have.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

    I like the Jewell Stocks.
Nice beefy stocks, well made. usually a nice fit.
Extra nice when you have one with the CC stamp on it.
No telling where it's seen action, or what maker it was mated with.

    Regards,
    Charlie-painter777

No sign of a CC on this one. It was sanded before a Korean Rack Number Paint Job Was Applied On The Right.....

Extra cut for recoil plate support.......makes for a snug fit and nice shooter stocks.
