    OGD- Obsessive Gun Disorder

Took part of the afternoon off and caught part of a tv show called Hoarders.
One gentleman had nearly 25 guns and countless knives in his collection.
One of the Dr's on the show called it a possible Obsessive Gun Disorder.

    I think I have it and I know I'm not alone ;-)
I do know there are members here that are in worse shape than myself.

Falling asleep with that barreled receiver should have been my first clue to having it.

    Cheers,

    Charlie,

Don't tell him about this forum.

To many of us have more then that in just Carbines let alone the other guns. Don't even start on knives.

That's why I like to expose the trolls

because you are a piker with only 25. What's excessive about that? Trolls hang around and get provocative stuff off these boards. My late friend Larry Martini had probably 100 or better in his office, maybe a hundred more in the shop in safes. Imagine a whole wall of nothing but Germanicon Drillings, and another of Win shotguns. He didn't even collect them, he got them when people owed him money and you couldn't say no to Larry.

I know I'm Off Topic, but had to share

I stand corrected. It was called OGBD- Obssesive Gun Buying Disorder. Considered a need to buy compulsion by the Dr there.
They had a policeman there to check that the arms were safe to be moved before being taken away for safe keeping during the clean up. You had to laugh as the cleaners would find a gun case they'd handle it like Nitro, most would just stand and point at it from a distance.
Do you think that covers arms collected while trading?
He is a retired Police Officer in Ohio.
The house was so cluttered and with his poor health (lungs and heart), I doubt he could have got out. The whole time his wife was smoking away like a chimney.
In fact he was more or less confined to his bedroom.
He told the Dr. he hadn't been in the kitchen during the 21st century and I believe him after seeing it.
I think he would have got out more if his health would have allowed.
I don't know if it was a real Thompson but from a distance it looked like one.

P.S. Even though they were saying 25 or so. Many of the pistol hardcases carried out had 2 guns in each. Armfulls were carried out. He even had a couple of books that were hollowed out with pistols in them. A umbrella that the handle screwed off and made a sword like dagger approx 18" long. I was impressed with the gentleman. Though I wouldn't want his wife anywhere near me.

P.S.S. 25 or so rifles until they found another dozen or so in soft cases piled in the garage in with just junk. I hope for his sake all were returned. There were many cleaners there filling dumpsters.

I saw that one too, I would have spent the day going through the gun pile and forgotten why we were there in the first place.

Between carbines, M-3s and M-4 bayonets alone, I've left that number far, far, far behind.........
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
