Range of Inland I cut stocks with no CC stamp question?

Came across a early I cut Hi-wood OI Inland stock.
Slingwell marked OI with the flaming bomb. Bottom of pistol grip has the Circled P Proof. No other markings or stamps like Armory, Depot or firing P proofs. Original early Inland diagonal buttplate. Barrel band spring looks to be the early style... best I can recall. Only shows signs of the early Type I barrel band, being slid forward or back in place.
No CC and no sign of ever having one. This stock shows no signs of ever being sanded. No flat spot where the CC would normally be stamped.
I can feel one slight impression where you'll see the first (left) small black spot. Feels like the back side of pouch snaps. You can barely feel it. The stock is more of less void of any dents, bumps or scratches.

I've seen early correct Inlands without the CC but don't recall the serial range. Just remember it was the very early ones, like up to 6 digits?
Would anyone recall the range these were found on?

This one has heavy grain lines running up from the magwell towards the Hi wood ridge. In one spot a grain line has checked open but not cracked. There's no movement. I'll can fill the grain check to hide it.
It also has a small rounded ding on the top right rail that a trigger housing pin fits in perfect. Guessing while they were trying to place the action back in that a partially hanging out TH pin pressed in to the top rail.
I have no use for this stock as I don't own any Inlands this would be correct for. Just couldn't pass it up. Thought it might make for good trading material.

    TIA,
    Charlie-painter777

    Hi Scott,
I've looked it over hard even took a number of Macro pics and can't see anything. The grain does tricks to the eye.
I need some sleep, been working nights and haven't caught any rest today.
I'll try looking it over and taking some more zoomed in pics in the morning.
But I truely believe this one has no CC and never did.

Hope your feeling up to speed.

    Charlie,

I know you have a number of stocks that you redo so you have a pick of what to keep. Whether or not that one finally reveals a CC, I believe that is a keeper. I would not trade it because stocks from those early years in that good of condition will be museum pieces in just a few years. When I look at your pics of that one and then at one of my stocks produced later in the war, I can see a definite decrease in the quality of the wood, cuts and finish as the war progresses. That one shows the high quality at the begining.

    Just my two cents worth

The unmarked stock was used in the 30,000 range before switching over to the acceptence stamp on the right side.

Charlie, I don't know, but does it matter where the bomb is oriented? as to before 30,000 or after..
All the real early ones I have Seen Is pointed to the IO, mine is pointed to the butt. Mine is after 30,000.

My recent CMP NPM SG came with an Inland I cut

it is a cut high wood with only a .U. rebuild stamp. The stock has very clear markings, circle P on the pistol grip, IO and ordnance bomb in sling well, bomb at the bottom, flame faces toward muzzle. It has a beautiful small cartouche on the right stock in front of the I cut.

Carbine club newsletter 346 says that crossed cannon in slingwell thru SN 37030. Then the first one reported with cannon on right side stock is 39848. Newsletter 333 says crossed cannons on right side from "about" 35000. Some discrepancy between the two newsletters. Neither newsletter shows any stock in the pictures or descriptions that look like yours. But I am guessing newsletter only includes what was "reported", so if it was never reported it is not covered. I don't know- just reporting what I read.
