Enfield No4 'sniper' (...notice the quotes....to the purists I offer apologies)

.............or call it what it really is....just a scoped enfield

Oh OK i know...it is not a true sniper....BUT it was fun putting the parts together...let's just hope she shoots ok...

It is a 1949 dated PF91*** ROF(F) in great shape...the bore looks fine...stock forend sits nice and tight...had to actually tap it off as stated in articles...

    Added the repro cheek rest

Added a Weaver K3 60C Scope with the cross hair and post...

The mount was interesting..I do not know if it was home fabricated or manufactured
it is rock solid...it uses the ejector screw and safety screw to hold the lower mount and the upper mount screws on the to the lower...

The sight picture is not too bad either...

I know this is not in ANYWAY traditional but for now it is fun to play with...maybe when I get some more money together I will get a proper mount and pads and follow the detailed article from Mr. Laidlericon this winter and do it right...

I am also going to tackle building a transit chest...off the plans that are here...plotted them all up on the cadd station and we'll see how it turns out....

Ok back to work for me....

Oh! yessss sireee one Weatherby eye coming up, not for me shooting that item.....also looking at some real T's the very front end of their cheek rests is in line with the bottom of the wrist grip.
This one appears to be mounted a bit far forward just my 5c
