Mauser banner k98

I'am looking for some info concerning a k98 rifle 1939 dated made by mauser 42 coded number 1xx2.It is all matching apart from the bolt, the walnut stock bears the mauser banner on the left side of the stock between the butt plate and the bolt takedown plate. It is in original untouched condition and the mark was noticed when the woodwork was been gently cleaned. regards ZGB.

Sorry i wanted info on the reason for the mauser banner on the stock, because i have not seen it before on a standard whermacht rifle, the stock has the standard waffenampt egales on it for a mauser made rifle. Regards ZGB
