Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

    Alan,
The link doesn't work. This would be a verrry interesting number for an early Long Branch, and a sniper to boot. All serial numbers I've seen to date for the early ones don't have the "0" to the right of the L. I wonder if this extra 0 was added by an overzealous armorer.

That number is for a Canadianicon No.7 .22 rifle...I'll bet a pint of "Spitfire" or "Newcastle Brown" on it.
There was a few odd snipers made up out of the accepted range but having some of the numbers, I can assure you that the 0L0389 is a No.7 chest

Just one question, would the "buy now" price be a good move this early or would you "roll the dice"?

BINGO !!!!! No.7 chest. Shipping on that thing.... anywhere, even in Canadaicon will gag a maggot.
I think to Europe the price will be around 150 to 200. I checked at one time as I was going to send one to an old mate in the UKicon...
    Nice thought while it lasted........

IMO that No.7 chest is worth only about $100 including shipping. Unless you happen to be the owner of 0L0389, and even then the buy it now price is kinda silly.

Silly price, I agree. But the Gents that have the bucks to shell out the going price for an orig sniper would regard $400 as pocket change in the event that chest were for a 4T.

But it's not for a No4T, it's for a No7. I bought two of them a little over a year ago for $80. No7 chests don't demand anywhere near the same dollars as No4T chests.
