I think barrel, ejector, extractor and magazine. I think the slide's different but you can get away with it.

It would be much easier just to find and buy a 1911 in 9 mm or .38 Super.

i just did this a couple weeks ago...
customer wanted to be able to shoot.....45 ACP,. 9MM and Super .38...
    so..
heres what i had to do,,
it was easier to use 3 slides, 3 barrels. and 3 springs. bushings, extractors ect,,, basicly the 3 different top ends, with springs.
all had to be fitted, and test fired to work,
9mm and super .38 mags on some will work with both...i found it was best to use a magazine for each cal. that way i know it would work smoothly.
the end result was cool, cost about 300.00 per cal, in parts to make it work...
in the long run it would have been cheaper for him to buy 2 more pistols, but now he has a 3 cal, barrel set..in a nice hard case, frame used was an older essex.
took me 3 mos to round up all the parts, and get the pistol to run, and finish..admited,,,it is cool, and iv yet to see another like his.
he now wants me to make a .22 set up to work as well, and match the others....so...that will be Springs project for him. good thing i left room in the hard case.
