    Value of a No. 32 MK2/1 scope

What would be an estimated value of one with clear glass, working turret nobs with and original mount?
In Peter Laidlericon's book he stated that only 900 of these scopes were made.

    TIA

Depends on how bad one wants it! If it was S/N 124, I would pay more, because that's the one assigned to one of my rifles. (Esp. if the bracket either is un-numbered (WWII) or numbered post-war to my rifle- even if it has been barred out.)

Stupidly enough, if it was a Canadianicon No.32 w/ S/N 270 the same would apply! Ever so close!

Dunno how to put an "exact" figure on collectible stuff- too many variables and too little logic.

But IS that a manufactured Mk2/1 or just a Mk2 converted later? It was made as a bog standard Mk2 by the look of it. It could be that it was simply upgraded to Mk2/1 during its life by someone and not an Armourer. As a rule and in my limited experience, when we upgraded an old remaining Mk2's to Mk2/1's we barred through the 1650A and added the later part number and added a /1 after the 2 - either by lightly stamping over the dent removing tool or engraving. In Singapore/Malaya/Hong Kong etc they were waterproofed and fitted with a desiccation screw at the same time

It'd be worth more if it was a Mk1/1 of which only a few were converted. These were Mk1's fitted with Mk3 type drums which effectively upgraded them to Mk2 (via the 1MoA clicker plates ) then to Mk2/1 by virtue of the Mk3 type drums.

This upgrading wasn't as simple as a straight replacement of drum assemblies either. One day I'll explain why. So much to do and so little time...................

Value............. same as selling a car. It's whatever someone wants to pay on the day

    A U.I.C. Mk.2? In it's own S/N range? Can't find that in the chart...

A lot of that serial number range were hybrid Mk2 - 2/1's although after the 290 range, they were all (?) marked as 2/1's although a few have emerged marked as 2/1's that are Mk2's! In much the same way, some Mk1's have been upgraded to Mk2's and over engraved with Mk2 markings while some others are mechanically Mk2's but remain marked as Mk1's...................

Don't ask me. I just write down what I've seen
