Cheekpiece sanded and oiled
The oil is wet, but I'm thrilled how the cheekpiece came out. Rifle performed well on the weekend.

All Done!
Hi guys, I'm all done. I'm very pleased with the way the rifle turned out. I've learned a lot and am proud of the result.
BTW it's now for sale...

Boy oh boy, after all the work: we want a range report!

Yesterday at 700m I shot a 48.3 out of 50 on the full bore range, which is good for me. Using the post foresight you lose a bit of height differentiation, and the 2 dropped points went just out of the 5 ring at 11 and 1 O'clock. It shoots beautifully. Range scales work perfectly. I'd only used it at 400, and I just put the sight on "7" and "0" wind and got a "V" to start.
All done! All happy!

I would be pretty happy with that Tbone.... I don't think I can see 700m let alone shoot that far.

My effort
No where as skilled as the work shown here but here is the foreend patch I fitted to my "L42 A2", having removed the old range rail and returned the underside to the correct profile.
I have not stained it to match at the moment but may do in the future.
