The grenade display was nice and the 6MM Lee Navy display with it's 5 rifles was decent. About the only thing noteworthy about the Lee Navy is that the cartridge was the base for the 220 Swift(6mm Lee Navy necked down to .224).

To think the "judges" chose them for awards over your display was, for lack of a better more egregious word, laughable. The bottom line is that I feel Paul's display was not judged fairly. Nuf said. Regards, Rick.

Paul, beautiful display. I'm curious; how is the rack made that holds the carbine at that one place? Some sort of hidden clamp? Any chance of a close-up pic? I occasionally do a show and would like to make a nicer display rack than I've been using.

The rack is one piece. I had the base sides shortened for the Dayton show were they would fit in the back of my truck were my bed cover would close and lock. I had 13 of these made when I did the National M1 Carbine display in Birmingham Alabama at a cost of $380 each. I'll try and get you some pics just email me at m1cc@msn.com. I did use clamps to make sure they were stable on the table but did not need them. They were very popular with collectors when I used them in Birmingham.

Paul's display was a great one, and he only had to mop up my drool a couple of times. I'm quite proud of my mixmasters, but seeing all those pristine examples made my meager little collection seem pathetic.

Meeting Paul and seeing his display was the highlight of my weekend. Added to that, Paul and a guy from my hometown of Dayton signed my application for the OGCA, a goal I've had for a few years, and I'm honored to have a fine gentleman like Paul as a sponsor into the association. He's a true class act! And I can't thank you enough for your help Paul!

Another highlight of my day was getting a chance to meet Phil Schreier and Jim Supica of the National Firearms Museum. When Wanda and I went outside for a short break, they were out front loading their stuff into the car for their return trip home. I haven't had a chance to visit the museum except on-line, but I hope to at some point. I'm a proud Endowment Member of the NRA, and I truly appreciate their efforts to protect our rights, but even prouder to know such quality people are protecting and preserving fine firearms for future generations to appreciate.

I hope you get back up to the shows Paul, it was great hanging out with you.

Guys you don't know what you missed by not being able to see this display. It was quite something. Hard to believe he didn't win ? i'm going again in September. It's a great gun show.
