    Springfield Garand advice

Need some advice on a Springfield Garandicon :serial# 2300XXX (dec. 1943)
All original SA marked parts ,stock has the SA cartouche, crossed cannons, lock bar, first type gas cyl.screw, original sling, etc….
The only negative fact is the rifle has a (rebarreled) SA- 51 dated barrel!
It is not anymore a ww2-collectors rifle but which value can we still give this rifle?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Check the CMPicon site (http://www.odcmp.org) and see the prices for Rack, field and service grade rifles. Depending on condition you can decide.

There's good possibility that the barrel was an arsenal refurb after WWII. Of course there's also a decent chance that it wasn't.
Personally, I'd look at the rifle as a piece of history that can still function and be of use. But that's me, I don't have anything in the rack that can't throw lead when called upon to do so.
